I have always farmed and also have 30+ years of experience in agri-business. Presently have a small cow/calf/cashcrop operation and operate Crop Watch Crop Consulting. I am also involved with several local agricultural and community associations. I truly believe that SBCBA can provide a common platform to enable all sectors; industrial, commercial, agriculture & community groups; to work together to facilitate improving the business, community and economic health of South Bruce.
Vice President: Nichole Wise email@example.com
My original career was in nursing, but when I had the opportunity to purchase a coffee shop and pub in my home town, I went for it. I am CEO (Chief Everything Officer) at Harley’s Pub and Perk, Mildmay. I have a love of creating excellent foods and menus. With Harley’s as a base, I have become very involved with everything food-related throughout Bruce County. Food-related tourism is a big part of all that I do. I am active in both the Mildmay Chamber of Commerce and in South Bruce Community & Business Association.

A “true-blue” South Bruce girl – raised in Teeswater and now residing in Mildmay with my family…. I have been involved in Buddsteel, a family run business since my high school days. We manufacture commercial washroom partitions, locker doors, and storage specialties to many different markets throughout Ontario. As a member of the South Bruce Community Business Association I recognize the importance of economic development within South Bruce and would encourage all local businesses to join and become active in the future developments of South Bruce.
Member at Large: Jim Gowland firstname.lastname@example.org
The “Gowland’s” have operated for 36 years a field crop enterprise growing mainly corn, soybeans and wheat. Our marketing vision is global with our soybeans destined for Japan , S.E. Asia and Europe. From 2004 to 2011, I founded and chaired a national soybean commodity organization where my responsibilities included global trade missions and advocacy in the areas of trade, market access and regulatory impacts. South Bruce has many diversified business strengths. Participation in the SBCBA potentially enhances economic prosperity for all residents of South Bruce. I look forward to being part of such an enthusiastic SBCBA committee.
Member at Large: Dale Lougheed email@example.com 519-392-6862
Dale and his spouse Margie have worked much of their adult careers in Huron and Bruce counties. Having raised 3 children in this county, they recognize many of the potential benefits for families in communities like South Bruce. When business and economic times are balanced, it can be a healthy environment for everyone. We need to continue to work to capture all the available rural potential. SBCBA welcomes all input going forward to help accomplish the same.
