Harley’s Pub & Perk

My original career was in nursing, but when I had the opportunity to purchase a coffee shop and pub in my home town, I went for it. I am CEO (Chief Everything Officer) at Harley’s Pub and Perk, Mildmay. I have a love of creating excellent foods and menus. With Harley’s as a base, I have become very involved with everything food-related throughout Bruce County. Food-related tourism is a big part of all that I do. I am active in both the Mildmay Chamber of Commerce and in South Bruce Community & Business Association.

Jim & Judy Gowland

The “Gowland’s” have operated for 36 years a field crop enterprise growing mainly corn, soybeans and wheat. Our marketing vision is global with our soybeans destined for Japan , S.E. Asia and Europe. From 2004 to 2011, I founded and chaired a national soybean commodity organization where my responsibilities included global trade missions and advocacy in the areas of trade, market access and regulatory impacts. South Bruce has many diversified business strengths. Participation in the SBCBA potentially enhances economic prosperity for all residents of South Bruce. I look forward to being part of such an enthusiastic SBCBA committee.
